Coming from a mixed ethnic background; Royalle’s schoolmates and friends could not grasp how this ‘mullato’ kid could be so passionate about ‘gino beats’. While at the same time, hip hop and rap were the most affluent types of music amongst teenagers of his generation.

“I can’t lie - people were weirded out by that; I like rap and hip hop, its just-hip hop died a long time ago and nobody wanted to hear that.”

Feeling he was ahead of his time, Dj Royalle made CDs for friends using Basic Virtual DJ; showing people that there is a future in house-electro. Once submersed heavily into the dance scene, people would tell Royalle how classy his taste in music was. Eureka, his talent became recognized and he soon started mixing using a structured sound.

“I love to see people get wound up by sexy beats; by sexy I mean hypnotic seductive vocals and rhythmic Latin based house sounds.”

Still at the young age of twenty-one, Dj Royalle spins in “the lab” endlessly. He is currently searching to create a fresh, real, universal dance sound which combines genres which are considered to be Taboo when compared to House Music; Genres such as Metal, Hip Hop, Disco and even Pop.

“House is the future club sound; the crowd it brings and the energy it carries to the dance floor is incredible, my job is to maximize that and then take it to the next level.”

[ DJ ROYALLE ] Robert Green FA5 Designs Feb 2009 Dj Royalle Kolt Royalle De Moore If you’re someone who believes that you were born for a reason, you might be able to understand Dj Royalle’s perspective on life and music. Born in the Beaches area of Toronto, Dj Royalle-Kolt Royalle De Moore- has the wanderers’ spirit. Having lived with his single mother and sister until the young age of thirteen, Royalle was a professional troublemaker from the beginning. Growing up in group homes and shelters for most of his teenage life; it’s easy to see that Dj Royalle had to grow up fast or miss out. “Kids in my houses would have sex with each other, bring drugs home, fight and argue amongst each other every day.” Influences were always around, and Dj Royalle had an outlet. Dance music.
